Oscars 2013 Best Dressed

Last night’s Oscars telecast was reminiscent of Old Hollywood, an era of classic films and refined style.  The stars were aligned for Tinseltown’s best talent, as they graced the red carpet with beauty and grace.  With so many impeccably dressed celebs, it was difficult to narrow down my favorites.  Here is my Oscars 2013 Best Dressed List – chime in below to let me know if your faves made the cut!

Halle Berry wowed in a custom, art-deco inspired gown by Versace.  The former bond girl rocked this sexy look from head to toe, from her absolutely perfect pixie hair cut down to her fab Jimmy Choo shoes.

Jessica Chastain was ethereal in a nude metallic, strapless Armani Prive gown with a sweetheart neckline.  Her Harry Winston jewels, side swept hair and Christian Louboutin heels were perfect accents to complete her glamorous look.

Jennifer Garner was breathtaking in a custom gown by Gucci.  The deep plum hue was a beautiful pop of color, while her vintage Neil Lane necklace and cascading ruffles added a bit of drama to this elegant ensemble.

Charlize Theron was effortlessly chic in a winter white gown by Dior Haute Couture.  The statuesque star turned heads on the red carpet, showing off a shorter hair do and a dazzling Harry Winston diamond cuff.

One of the few ball gowns on the Oscars red carpet, Amy Adams was pretty as a princess in a powder blue Oscar de la Renta dress.  The strapless bodice and dramatic skirt looked perfect on the petite star, while her simple updo and jewels were just enough to not overpower her romantic ensemble.

Stacy Kiebler was flawless in a jaw dropping, gun metal Naeem Khan gown.  The metallic beading, belted waist and sheer back showcased her incredible figure.  The question remains though, which was Stacy’s best accessory – her Lorraine Schwartz jewels or George Clooney?

Honorable Mention

While the above stars made my official Oscars 2013 best dressed, I just had to mention the following ladies too!

Naomi Watts in Armani Prive

Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton

Sally Field in Valentino

SAG Awards 2013 Best Dressed

While there may have been more fashion misses than hits at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, there were definitely a handful of standout style stars.  Here’s my list of the Best Dressed from the SAG’s red carpet:

Jessica Chastain was the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour in a red Alexander McQueen gown with a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice.  Her Harry Winston necklace was just the right amount of sparkle to complete her stunning look.

Despite her slight wardrobe malfunction while accepting her Best Actress award, Jennifer Lawrence was flawless in a strapless navy Dior Haute Couture column gown.  Her side swept hair was the ideal style to showcase her delicate Chopard jewels.

SAG13-ellie-kemper-Reem Acra Neil Lane Jewels Swarovski Clutch

Ellie Kemper was a refreshing dose of color in a romantic Reem Acra gown.  Her seafoam, chiffon dress is on trend for spring and fit the actress like a glove.  Her Swarovski clutch and Neil Lane jewels were dazzling complements to her mermaid-like ensemble.

Elisabeth Moss was chic and sophisticated in a black Dolce & Gabbana strapless cocktail dress with a sequin skirt.  The knee length ensemble was an appropriate choice for the SAG Awards, while her embellished Jimmy Choo clutch and patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps were the perfect finishing touches.

Jenna Fisher was simply beautiful in a Jenny Packham gown with sheer sleeves and metallic silver accents. She accessorized her lovely look with Forevermark diamonds and an oversized clutch.
